Nevermore? Why?

Updated: Mar 28, 2019

Beyond a clear nod to the classic Edgar Allen Poe poem “The Raven,” why Nevermore?

Nevermore is a call …

To fellow readers, dreamers, artists, and those who find magic in the mundane.

To potential salon guests, who are just as bored of the everyday salon experience as we are. Get ready to up your self-care rituals. Whether that means trying a new Low Key Scalp Exfoliating treatment, learning how to curl your hair, finally achieving the color of your dreams or enjoying a signature beverage before your Black Lace facial, Nevermore will feel like an escape from the everyday.

Nevermore is a safe haven for driven individuals to network, learn, grow their careers, and/or find independence. Here, they can follow their dreams during one of our events or classes in our studio suites or as a Nevermore salon employee.

Nevermore’s lifestyle blog will be your guide to the various events/classes in the shop and keep you informed of our favorite self-care advice as we share our story alongside other inspiring humans.

“Never more” boring salon experiences!

This is a space offering a unique career path, education, and/or independent studio suites for creatives breaking the mold in Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio.

So where are we in our journey right now?

After joyfully crying in McDonalds, we signed the lease for Nevermore's official home. We Snapchatted friends and family on our way home, sharing the pent up joy over our official business venture by making the weirdest faces possible.

Kevin and I dove deep into contractor research and Googled“how to floor.” I got the website up and running (obviously), just waiting on the space to be ready for the finishing touches. Plus, we are getting ready to do open interviews for salon employees and open house walkthroughs for possible studio/suite renters starting in late April.

At this point, I'm not-so-patiently waiting to start painting and decorating.

BTW: One of the paint colors we picked out is called Black Garnet from Behr paint. Check it out on my Nevermore Vibes Pinterest Board. I am ready to paint my entire life with this beautiful color!

With Love, Creativity, and Gratitude,

Megan Lacy Sullivan
